As the year comes to a close so come the seasonal "lists" of the year. And Serenity's not being missed out here!
IGN.com placed Serenity as the best movie of 2005, stating the reason: "Serenity, Joss Whedon's big-screen version of his defunct series Firefly wasn't exactly a run-away hit at the box office. But we have a feeling that this underappreciated gem will become a sci-fi classic in time. The film is light on the kind of special effects that are typically plentiful in films of this genre, but it's big on heart, integrity and character development - something sorely lacking in too many mainstream films of any kind. To say that Serenity is an exciting, emotional rollercoaster of a film - one that has plenty of action - is not an overstatement in the least.".

Moviehole.net Serenity was piped to #1 in Clint's Top Ten of 2005 by Batman Begins. It did beat Star War: Revenge of the Sith, the other big sci fi movie of the year.
